Home Concert November 2025

New Book Release by Lynn Fox

I wrote the Preface to this book by one of my favorite Bible School instructors Lynn Fox, Psy.D. My Prayer for You Music Video

We need to have our hearts anchored in a way that gives us undeniable stability through it all. In 2 Thessalonians 3:5, Paul tells us that the two things that give our hearts a strong foundation are “the love of God” and “the steadfastness of Christ.” I was reading though the Bible and came across this verse and thought, “What a wonderful prayer for my family and friends.” Watch my backyard performance of My Prayer for You on my YouTube channel. Reggie’s Complete Guitar Course

As I mentioned at the beginning of the summer, I’m creating a world class guitar training course, equipping people young and old with the tools to master guitar playing and dramatically impact contemporary culture for good. These dynamic lessons take guitarists from beginner to advanced. The 49 lessons are “spiral” in that they go in order and build on each other. They work best by taking them in order. Yet, you can start at any level and continue from there. It will take a few more months to complete.

Lesson Tips – Think About It

Take a look at some very helpful tips for students regarding Goals & Objectives, Discipline & Desire, and Practicing & Rehearsing. As you pursue guitar playing and look forward to getting better, it’s important to define goals and objectives. In order to keep your motivation and initiative thriving from lesson to lesson, it is essential to keep a balance between discipline and desire. Thinking about the frequency of your practicing is helpful to improve your skill.

Summer Concert Series at Mount Hermon

For the past eight years, Heartfelt Music Ministry has produced the Mount Hermon Conference Center’s Summer Concert Series. I have thoroughly enjoyed selecting the artists with the Conference Center’s leadership. Our hope is for you to find encouragement and spiritual refreshment. These concerts greatly enhance our Mission Statement: Leading others toward intimacy with God and excellence in artistry.

June 21 begins the concerts with popular and encouraging artists over six Saturdays. The concerts are free, but you’ll need to register through iTickets and indicate whether you want to sit inside or outside. There are many helpful verses in the Bible that clearly spell out what God’s will is for our lives. One of my favorite sections is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” What an important reminder of all the blessings God brings our way and rejoice in them; keep a constant and open dialogue with God about everything we do and everyone who crosses our path; and maintain an attitude of gratitude, being thankful in the midst of all our circumstances. Designing Ministry for 2023

I hope you are healthy and enjoying the start of a new year. Heartfelt Music Ministry is beginning 2023 with a great sense of anticipation! Ministry is continuing through mentoring young musicians at Valley Christian Schools, teaching private lessons, helping churches with their worship ministries, doing concerts, and organizing summer concerts for Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center. I’m specifically working with San Jose Christian Reformed Church and San Ramon Presbyterian Church in leading worship and encouraging their musicians.

There was a delay in getting the album out because my voice wasn’t very strong in November and December, but finally it’s ready. His Love Endures Forever

Psalm 100 is such an inspiration for us to worship the Lord with gladness! It’s only five verses long, but is loaded with expression and motivation to praise his name. Knowing that the Lord is God, who made us, and deeply loves us, his people, we can respond with shouts of joy, joyful songs, thanksgiving and praise. “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations (Ps. 100:5).”

Michael O’Brien is an American Christian musician and worship leader, who is an amazing vocalist and pianist. He has released eight solo albums since 1990. He was a touring member of the Heritage Singers before becoming a full-fledged member of NewSong in 1999. He is a Dove Award winner and received a Grammy Nomination for his songwriting. For the last few Christmas seasons, he has toured with the Foto Sisters who joined us at the beginning of our summer concert series. Michael places a high priority on family and will share the miraculous journey of his marriage. Come join him for his first time with us at Mount Hermon as a solo artist. I’ve been writing songs this summer for a new album called Encore. One song, Hold Me, uses three capos and asks God to renew my heart today. Another song, You Pick Me Up, is for my grand-daughter and is an upbeat appreciation of her cuteness.

The Mount Hermon Summer concert series is each Saturday, July 16, 23, and 30, 6:30pm. You can sit inside or outside. All concert programs are open to the public without charge. Even though the Phillips, Craig and Dean concert is sold out, come anyway!

Christmas Carol Sing Video

Merry Christmas! It’s the season to focus on the birth of Christ and celebrate God’s deep love for us with family and friends. One meaningful way to relive the coming of Jesus is through Christmas carols. “This, this is Christ the King…” Join me Sunday, December 12, at 5:00pm for a half hour of singing Christmas carols and meaningful songs. It’s a prerecorded video on my YouTube channel. I’ll be there to chat with you if you’d like to make a comment. A Positive Perspective

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this weekend is a relaxing and refreshing respite for you. There’s so much to be thankful for. Though there’s been a tremendous amount of hardships and struggles over this last year, it’s essential to keep a positive perspective. “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” Psalm 9:1.

I was so thankful to lead worship in-person last month and do music for a special memorial service at Saratoga Retirement Community last week. I’m looking forward to doing more events in-person in 2022. I’ve been sharing online with Home Concerts and Worship through Facebook LIVE, which now is on my YouTube channel. I’ll be creating a special Christmas video to show Sunday, December 12th, full of carols from my Christmas album I Wish You a Mary Christmas, and inspirations to focus on Jesus’ incarnation.
