MH Easter SunriseBob TharalsonThanks for Giving

God’s Priority

As we approach the wonderful season of refletion on Jesus enduring the cross and raising from the dead…for all of us! In fact, everything Jesus did was because God’s priority is on people. “For God so loved the world (the people) that He sent His only Son..” (John 3:16a).
.
I was rehearsing at church before leading worship that morning, and in walked a guy I didn’t recognize at first. I asked if I could help him. He said he was looking for Reggie Coates. When he spoke, I recognized it was Bob Tharalson, the youth pastor who led me to Christ when I was 12 years old. He knew I was going to be leading that morning because of my newsletter and wanted to show up to encourage me. What a surprise…what a blessing! I’m so glad Bob took time to love me when I was in Jr. High. We continue to keep in touch and pray for each other.
.
Jesus put an amazing emphasis on loving people. This has been so important to me throughout my life. From the inception of Heartfelt Music Ministry, our Mission Statement has been to lead others toward intimacy with God and toward excellence in artistry. We’re all about encouraging people in Christ. Also, I love my family so much and keep them as a high priority.
.
Thank you for your continued support for Heartfelt Music Ministry! May God infuse you with his love and resurrection power!

The Man Who Led Me to Christ

When I was 12 years old, Bob Tharalson was my youth pastor. It’s because of him I gave my life to Christ. I saw Jesus in him and that gave me the faith to ask Jesus into my heart. I received an undeniable joy and my life has never been the same.

Designing Ministry for 2023

I hope you are healthy and enjoying the start of a new year. Heartfelt Music Ministry is beginning 2023 with a great sense of anticipation! Ministry is continuing through mentoring young musicians at Valley Christian Schools, teaching private lessons, helping churches with their worship ministries, doing concerts, and organizing summer concerts for Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center. I’m specifically working with San Jose Christian Reformed Church and San Ramon Presbyterian Church in leading worship and encouraging their musicians.

.
My new album, Encore, is out with new songs to inspire your faith in Christ. There was a delay in getting the album out because my voice wasn’t very strong in November and December, but finally it’s ready. It is now available to stream through Spotify, Pandora, iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, and many more. Check out this page: https://reggiecoates.hearnow.com/encore.

.
The music notation and guitar tablature is available for the first song on the album I’ll Worship with My Life. Visit my Gumroad page at https://reggie.gumroad.com/l/worshipwithmylife.

.
Heartfelt Music Ministry is looking ahead to do more concerts both live and online, more training both individually and in groups, and more ministry with churches to lead others toward intimacy with God and excellence in artistry.

.
Thank you for your encouragement for me to continue creating uplifting music and investing in others. It’s exciting to see how music can touch people’s lives. I appreciate your prayers!

Merry Christmas!

On behalf of me, my family, and the Heartfelt Music® Ministry Board of Directors, we wish you a Merry Christmas and meaningful New Year celebration! May you feel refreshed and de-stressed during this holiday season.

.

Two years ago, I did a Home Christmas Concert and created a Christmas album for you to enjoy. This Christmas, may the songs lift you up and remind you of what this season is all about.

.

If you would like to watch it, here’s the link – https://youtu.be/MrUfoSszURM

.

As some of you know, I wrote a Christmas song with a unique slant, I Wish You a Mary Christmas. The song refers to Martha in Luke 10 who was so busy with her preparations that she missed the most important thing. Her sister Mary understood that worshiping Jesus is more valuable to Him than serving. God’s priority is to be intimate with us in a loving relationship, so let’s slow down and worship Him through all we do, in good times and bad.

.

I am almost done creating a new album called Encore, which will be released soon. This is a collection of six new songs and two medleys of my songs on the themes of God’s Love and Jesus in Me. I’ve finished recording all the songs and now I’m mastering them. What a joy to have new songs to share!

.

This year has been full of ministry. The first semester of Valley Christian School has come to completion. The Worship Teams, Guitar classes and video classes that I teach have been so fun! I am also leading worship and training twice a month with San Jose Christian Reformed Church. I’m continuing to teach private music lessons (guitar, bass guitar, and voice), some in-person and some through Zoom.

.

Thank you to those who generously donated to Heartfelt Music Ministry this last year! We appreciate you so much and definitely couldn’t do this ministry without you! Would you consider a year-end gift to enhance the impact or our ministry? You can donate to Heartfelt Music through Pay Pal Giving Fund with no fees taken out. If you buy anything on Amazon.com and go through Amazon Smile with Heartfelt Music Ministry as your cherity, we receive a percentage of your purchase without costing you anything extra. Same with eBay.com with eBay GivingWorks (listing Heartfelt Music as your Charity), we receive a contribution at no cost to you. Thank you for your support!

Christmas Carol Sing Video

Merry Christmas! It’s the season to focus on the birth of Christ and celebrate God’s deep love for us with family and friends. One meaningful way to relive the coming of Jesus is through Christmas carols. “This, this is Christ the King…” Join me Sunday, December 12, at 5:00pm for a half hour of singing Christmas carols and meaningful songs. It’s a prerecorded video on my YouTube channel. I’ll be there to chat with you if you’d like to make a comment. Even if you can’t make it when it open’s at 5:00pm, you can watch it later and even use it to sing these carols when you gather with family and friends. Take a break from the hectic thrust of December and worship the Lord. We hope you are encouraged and drawn closer to Jesus!

Financial support to Heartfelt Music® Ministry is a wise investment. Our mission of leading others toward intimacy with God and toward excellence in artistry is the thrust of God’s heart. This gives us our compelling vision to use quality music, worship leading, training, and motivational speaking to encourage, inspire, and equip each person to draw closer to God. The effective use of your donation causes timely productivity in bringing this vision to fruition. Please consider a year-end one-time gift or regular contribution to Heartfelt Music® Ministry which is tax-deductible. As Paul said to the Philippians I say to you, “I thank my God for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now (Phil 1:3 & 5).”  Thank you for considering investing financially.

Christmas Carol Sing Online

I hope you can be a part of this premiere presentation where you can sing Christmas Carols with me. I recorded a live Christmas concert last year to introduce a number of songs on my just recorded Christmas album I Wish You a Mary Christmas. This year, I took 10 of those songs and included them on this Christmas Carol Sing. I’ll be in the chat room to dialogue during the video.

A Positive Perspective

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this weekend is a relaxing and refreshing respite for you. There’s so much to be thankful for. Though there’s been a tremendous amount of hardships and struggles over this last year, it’s essential to keep a positive perspective. “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” Psalm 9:1.

I was so thankful to lead worship in-person last month and do music for a special memorial service at Saratoga Retirement Community last week. I’m looking forward to doing more events in-person in 2022. I’ve been sharing online with Home Concerts and Worship through Facebook LIVE, which now is on my YouTube channel. I’ll be creating a special Christmas video to show Sunday, December 12th, full of carols from my Christmas album I Wish You a Mary Christmas, and inspirations to focus on Jesus’ incarnation.

Check out below a Grateful Heart Devotional Video, how you can help Heartfelt Music® during Giving Tuesday, November 30th, and Two Special Product Bundles we are offering now.

We appreciate your continued prayers and support for Heartfelt Music Ministry! We continue to influence others toward intimacy with God and toward artistic excellence.

A Grateful Heart Devotional Video

I create the weekly online devotional videos for the VCS Conservatory of the Arts. I want to share this week’s video called A Grateful Heart. I hope you are encouraged by the three speakers and an inspiration by Sarah Young from her book Jesus Calling. You can watch previous devotionals by viewing the playlist HERE. Spiritual nourishment is of utmost importance to have a daily positive perspective.

December Update 2020

I Wish You a Mary Christmas

Some years ago, I wrote a Christmas song, Mary Christmas, with a new slant. It refers to Martha in Luke 10 who was so busy with her preparations that she missed the most important thing, which her sister Mary understood: Worshiping Jesus is more valuable than serving Him. God’s priority is to be intimate with us in a loving relationship, so let’s slow down and worship Him through all our responsibilities, heartaches and delights.

Reflecting on 2020, there have been many positive things happening with Heartfelt Music Ministry. We just produced a new Christmas album, which will be released December 16 for worldwide distribution, I Wish You a Mary Christmas. This is a collection of familiar carols and two of my Christmas songs mostly performed simply with acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, and voice. We also repackaged for worldwide distribution the album Intimacy, which has 20 songs reflecting on relationships, to be released December 16. We refreshed our website, started our own Hearfelt Music and Ministry, Inc. Facebook Page, and have produced nine free streaming concerts and worship experiences to encourage you during these difficult times. We thank God we’ve been able to accomplish so much!

I’d like to thank the many people who generously donated to Heartfelt Music! Would you consider a year-end gift to enhance the impact or our ministry? You can donate to Heartfelt Music through Pay Pal Giving Fund with no fees taken out. If you buy anything on Amazon.com, go through Amazon Smile and we receive a portion of your purchase without costing you anything extra. Same with eBay.com with eBay GivingWorks. If you purchase anything on eBay and list Heartfelt Music as your Charity, we receive a contribution at no cost to you. Thank you for your support!

New Christmas Album Dec. 16

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I recorded my sixteenth album, which will be released December 16th worldwide. It will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Gumroad, and many other sites. Check the Heartfelt Music website or our new Facebook Page for details.

Home Christmas Concert with Reggie

On Sunday, December 13 at 5:00pm, I’ll be giving a Christmas concert and carol sing, celebrating the miracle of Jesus’ incarnation and sharing songs from my new album, familiar carols and two of my own songs.
