New Baby Rory Noland Ruminate on Grace written out

Welcoming the New Year

Happy 2022! Hope you are healthy and enjoying the restart of a new year. We are so excited that our son Austin and Lindsey had their cute baby girl Magdalene (Maggie), born January 15th, 7lbs 9oz! They are doing well and we’re so pumped to be grandparents (see picture below).

Heartfelt Music is beginning this new year with a great sense of anticipation! Ministry is continuing through mentoring young musicians at Valley Christian Schools, teaching private lessons to students ages 12 to 65, helping churches with their worship ministries, and leading worship at various conference centers. I’m even working on a new album called Encore with new songs to inspire your faith in Christ.

We’re excited to offer new training opportunities for worship leaders, musicians, and guitarists through free online streaming videos. These will open up throughout 2022 with various helpful topics such as:

  • Worship Leading Insights
  • Guitar Playing Insights
  • Music Theory Insights
  • Spiritual Growth Insights

Our first series will be the Worship Leading Insights with a new video posted every Friday. Our first one with Rory Noland opened Friday, January 21, and is available at https://youtu.be/iqGo5Rz6QxA. These are interviews with prominent worship leaders across the country and experienced worship leaders throughout the San Fransisco Bay Area speaking through Zoom to the Valley Christian High School worship team. Our first one is with Rory Noland who has led worship in megachurches and various conference centers all over the world. He wrote the popular books The Heart of the Artist, The Worshiping Artist, and Transforming Worship. Rory and I met in the Netherlands at a conference called The Christian Artist Music Seminars in Europe. We were both teaching workshops and I was impressed with his friendliness and wealth of experience. You will benefit from his insightful sharing.

Join me Sunday, February 6 at 5:00pm for a Home Concert Refresh on my YouTube channel putting together the best of my previous online Home Concerts and being available to chat with you during the streaming event. Even if you can’t make it when it open’s at 5:00pm, you can watch it later. We need all the encouragement we can get during these difficult times. I’ll be posting the link soon.

Our First Grand-daughter

Our youngest son, Austin, and his wife, Lindsey, had their cute baby girl January 15th, Maggie. They are home now and doing great. Sherri and I are excited to be first-time grandparents!

Christmas Carol Sing Video

Merry Christmas! It’s the season to focus on the birth of Christ and celebrate God’s deep love for us with family and friends. One meaningful way to relive the coming of Jesus is through Christmas carols. “This, this is Christ the King…” Join me Sunday, December 12, at 5:00pm for a half hour of singing Christmas carols and meaningful songs. It’s a prerecorded video on my YouTube channel. I’ll be there to chat with you if you’d like to make a comment. Even if you can’t make it when it open’s at 5:00pm, you can watch it later and even use it to sing these carols when you gather with family and friends. Take a break from the hectic thrust of December and worship the Lord. We hope you are encouraged and drawn closer to Jesus!

Financial support to Heartfelt Music® Ministry is a wise investment. Our mission of leading others toward intimacy with God and toward excellence in artistry is the thrust of God’s heart. The effective use of your donation causes timely productivity in bringing this vision to fruition. Please consider a year-end one-time gift or regular contribution to Heartfelt Music® Ministry which is tax-deductible. As Paul said to the Philippians I say to you, “I thank my God for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now (Phil 1:3 & 5).”  Thank you for considering investing financially.

Christmas Carol Sing Online

I hope you can be a part of this premiere presentation where you can sing Christmas Carols with me. A Positive Perspective

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this weekend is a relaxing and refreshing respite for you. There’s so much to be thankful for. Though there’s been a tremendous amount of hardships and struggles over this last year, it’s essential to keep a positive perspective. “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” Psalm 9:1.

I was so thankful to lead worship in-person last month and do music for a special memorial service at Saratoga Retirement Community last week. I’m looking forward to doing more events in-person in 2022. I’ve been sharing online with Home Concerts and Worship through Facebook LIVE, which now is on my YouTube channel. I’ll be creating a special Christmas video to show Sunday, December 12th, full of carols from my Christmas album I Wish You a Mary Christmas, and inspirations to focus on Jesus’ incarnation.

Check out below a Grateful Heart Devotional Video, how you can help Heartfelt Music® during Giving Tuesday, November 30th, and Two Special Product Bundles we are offering now.

We appreciate your continued prayers and support for Heartfelt Music Ministry! We continue to influence others toward intimacy with God and toward artistic excellence.

A Grateful Heart Devotional Video

I create the weekly online devotional videos for the VCS Conservatory of the Arts. I want to share this week’s video called A Grateful Heart. I hope you are encouraged by the three speakers and an inspiration by Sarah Young from her book Jesus Calling. You can watch previous devotionals by viewing the playlist HERE. Spiritual nourishment is of utmost importance to have a daily positive perspective.

Making a Huge Difference

We are embarking on a hopeful new season this fall. I’ve started teaching again at Valley Christian School a few weeks ago and already the circumstances are so much more encouraging than last year. Meeting in person makes me appreciate the meaningful interactions each day that were so limited online. In high school, I’m teaching 35 guitar students and 11 members on the worship team. In junior high, I’m teaching Video Fun with 18 students. The students are such a joy to be with.

Sunday, September 12 – 5:00pm, I’ll be doing an online concert sharing songs from my new Instrumental Guitar, Vol. 2 album as well as other songs. The concert will be on the Heartfelt Music® Facebook page. You can view my last concert by clicking here.

My music is available on all the streaming platforms (Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) The physical CDs are available on our website. You can hear how each song sounds at a special page with HearNow.com and these pages will point you to a number of streaming platforms that carry my albums. Check out:

After a wonderful summer concert series at Mount Hermon called Worship in the Redwoods, the leadership team reflected on how each artist included significant times to worship and allow God to transform lives. They went very well and we had record attendance. Producing the concerts and seeing such a positive response was so fulfilling for me. We met today to begin planning on next year’s lineup.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement over the years through prayer, attending events, and purchasing our products. Your contributions to Heartfelt Music Ministry make a huge difference! You are the reason for our success in touching people’s lives.

Due to some recent expenses, our need for your financial support has increased. Would you prayerfully consider making a gift to Heartfelt Music Ministry today? Your gift, no matter the size, will help advance our mission and make a significant impact.

New Summer Music

I’m working on the new Instrumental Guitar – Vol. 2 album and very excited about how it’s coming along. I’ve finished recording all ten songs and now mixing and mastering them. It’s a fun process, but it does take a lot of time. The new target date is mid-June to have it available.
.
Next week is the last week of the year for Valley Christian Schools. It’s been a crazy ride this year because of the pandemic, but the students and faculty weathered through it pretty well. Our worship team has one more performance this Thursday for the baccalaureate.
.
My oldest son and his wife will be visiting in person with us this weekend for the first time in months because of the pandemic. Also, my youngest son and his wife will be visiting with us in a few weeks for the first time in months as well. Sherri and I are so thankful for family and really look forward to finally getting together.
.
This summer, I’m organizing the live 2021 Summer Concerts at Mount Hermon with Phil Keaggy, Phillips Craig & Dean, Point of Grace, Veritas, Nichole Nordeman, Steve Green and Dick Tunney, and Buddy Greene & Jeff Taylor. The series is called Worship in the Redwoods and is totally free. .
I’ll be teaching summer private lessons through Zoom on Thursday afternoons beginning June 10th and there are a few openings if you’re interested. Do you need a boost in your music endeavors? Private coaching is a great way to really kick into gear new motivations and disciplines to move forward in music journey.
.
Your prayers are appreciated so much! If not for the your support and others, we would not have as much impact through this ministry. Thank you! If you would like to make a donation to Heartfelt Music Ministry, visit our website at https://heartfeltmusic.org/about/support/ for the options available.
.
May your Memorial Day weekend be both fun and meaningful!

.

Instrumental Guitar – Vol. II Coming Album

This is my eighteenth album and it’s almost ready for distribution! It has such an interesting musical variety (easy rock, bluegrass, bossa nova, classical, light jazz). It’s primarily done with my Taylor 815CE acoustic guitar, but I also use an electric and nylon stringed guitars. There’s a story behind each of the songs and I’ll be giving more detail about all that in June.

Worship in the Redwoods at Mount Hermon

Two hours of encouraging music with some of your favorite Christian artists! Concert attendees can be with the artists inside with the artists or relax on the mezzanine patio and take in the night with beautiful music. Each program is free, but requires registration. The program begins at 6:30pm each Saturday evening. CLICK HERE for more information.

Getting Family Time This Summer

Sherri and I are excited to get together with our two sons and their wives after months of being careful about COVID19. All of us are feeling safer and the pandemic seems to be going in the right direction. VCS Worship Team Performs

The Valley Christian High School worship team has not been able to perform together because of COVID19 until last month.
