Heartfelt Music Academy Mentoring

.

Welcome to the Heartfelt Music Academy Mentoring page. Here’s some information that will help understand some of the mentoring options:
.

  • Music Ministry Mentoring with Reggie
  • Music Ministry Mentoring Weekends
  • Music Ministry Mentoring Tour
    .

“Reggie Coates was my mentor for the Worship and Worship Renewal class through Fuller Theological Seminary.  We met with Reggie in a variety of settings, including watching him lead worship at a Mount Hermon retreat, sitting in his class on worship at San Jose Christian College, and a number of discussion meetings.  I cannot imagine a better balance of activities than what Reggie arranged.  I would have liked to see him leading worship more times though.  The group became fairly intimate.  It was surprising what topics in people’s lives came into the discussion.  This was a really good experience for me, and I am very thankful that Reggie was willing to give up so much time for our sakes.”

Music Ministry Mentoring with Reggie

Music Ministry Mentoring with Reggie is coaching tailored specifically to the individual involved.  It is in specific areas such as guitar, voice, songwriting, worship leading, or concert artistry, but can be in a combination of areas.  For example, if someone feels called to be a worship leader, Reggie can mentor in guitar, voice, songwriting and worship leading in order to uniquely develop the individual.  The cost is calculated on an hourly basis and is organized according to the goals of each individual.

Reggie can work with others through regular lessons, weekends together, and a longer Mentoring Tour (see below).

Music Ministry Mentoring Weekends

A Weekend with Reggie

.

What are these weekends about?
A Music Ministry Mentoring Weekend is personal training for any adult man who is involved in leading already or who is planning on being involved in music or worship ministry. It is for those who desire a deeper experience and a broader understanding of the many different aspects of music and worship ministry. It is tailored uniquely to the needs of the individual involved. Have you ever wanted to spend a couple of days with someone experienced in music ministry to ask the many questions you have?
.

How does it work?
Reggie regularly ministers on weekends with Christian Conference Centers, festivals, churches, and other ministry organizations. Someone interested in impoving their skill, deepening their character, and understanding the interworkings of ministry through worship leading, concert artistry, or music ministry in general can come alongside Reggie for the whole weekend. They will be given the opportunity to take inventory of their current situation and ambitions, will receive tailored training toward specific goals, will observe Reggie throughout the weekend (and in some cases, will help in performing), and will be given tools and resource direction to further their growth.
.

Reggie relates, “When I was in college, I wished I could spend time with an experienced artist/worship leader in order to get the inside scoop of music ministry. I thought that would be a great way to enhance my understanding and use my gifts to serve the Lord more effectively. So, this tour is the “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you” principle. Those who attend this tour will get what I wish I had: thoughtful and personal training to prepare you for Christian music and worship ministry.”
.

What is a mentor?
A “mentor” is simply an experienced and trusted teacher who can advise and educate toward predetermined goals. The process of mentoring is having someone who desires to learn come alongside someone who is “seasoned” in their craft. This is the thrust of a weekend like this: to equip you and help you get better at what God is calling you to do. A weekend would includes personsal identifying goals, coaching, modeling, and instruction by Reggie Coates as he is ministering over the weekend with an organization. The specific weekend would be chosen based on what would be the greatest benefit for you.
.

How much will it cost?
The cost is $550 (payable to Heartfelt Music Ministry). Travel,  food, lodging and registration for the event is up to you. Driving costs would be shared, but airline costs would be the responsibility of the participant.
.

How do I get involved?
Because of the unique nature of these events, please contact Reggie directly at the Heartfelt Music Ministry office, or email him, if you have any questions.

Music Ministry Mentoring Tour

July 25 (Wed) – August 5 (Sun), 2007

.

What is this unique opportunity about?
The Music Ministry Mentoring Tour is twelve days of personal training for four to six individuals who are involved in leading already or who are planning on being involved in music ministry. It is for those who desire a deeper experience and a broader understanding of the many different aspects of music and worship ministry. There is nothing like this tour, in the intensity of 12 days, that is as educational, practical, relevant to today’s music & worship scene, diverse in performance opportunities, and just plain fun.
.

When I was in college, I wished I could spend time with an experienced artist/worship leader in order to get the inside scoop of music ministry. I thought that would be a great way to enhance my understanding and use my gifts to serve the Lord more effectively. So, this tour is the “Do unto others as you would want them to do to you” principle. Those who attend this tour will get what I wish I had: thoughtful and personal training to prepare you for Christian music and worship ministry.
.

A “mentor” is someone who is an experienced and trusted adviser. The process of mentoring is having someone who desires to learn come alongside someone who is “seasoned” in their craft. This is the goal of the tour: to equip you and help you get better at what God is calling you to do. The tour includes a wealth of coaching, modeling, and instruction.
.

What will I learn?
The tour content covers certain important aspects of music ministry to enhance each individual’s skills, knowledge, experience, attitude, character, and relational abilities. Some topics are:
