Chapel at the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouts, 2010 Jamboree

.The 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts was very meaningful and went very well.  It was so nice to minister with my two sons and Dean Bell, who flew out especially to sing harmony on all the songs.  There were over 7,000 boy scouts at our protestant chapel Sunday morning.  Thank you for your prayers!  It was a fantastic experience!

    Mr. Reggie Coates,

I am writing you in a quest to show my love and support of my step-son, Joshua Mompean.

I am writing you because I think you can help me with my quest.

Joshua has Cystic Fibrosis and in February of this year was facing a very grim future that pushes him to the top spot on Stanford’s double lung transplant list. He was blessed with new lungs in less than 3 weeks and had a successful double lung transplant. He initially had some complications that necessitated two additional surgeries and stay in the hospital for more than a month – but now he is home and busy preaching the glory of God, Stanford, and being an advocate for other transplant patients.

His story is a success for sure, but unfortunately, his finances are in desperate need of assistance.

This is where I hope you can help. A dear family friend has organized a benefit show to help raise money for Joshua and his wife in Monterey, CA. And I am still in awe to report that she was able to book PHIL KEAGGY as the star of the show. Granted, close family friends, including Joshua’s dad (my husband) will be playing, but PHIL KEAGGY!!!! I am near fainting again!

We know that you are a Keaggy fan as we have been to events at your former church in which he was showcased – not only did my husband attend the amazing guitar conferences, but the grand finale shows feature Keaggy and other awesome musicians!

Knowing you are a Keaggy fan I was wondering if it possible that you help us promote this event in Monterey to people you may have contact with that are as enamored with Keaggy as we are.

Our goal is to support our son and the best way to do that right now is to fill the seats for the Keaggy “Special Friends” benefit.

I could gladly send you marketing materials if you would help us promote the event!!!

    The details:

    Special Friends Concert
    Thursday, September 16th at 6:00pm
    Golden State Theatre
    Monterey, CA
Tickets are $25 at the door and $20 online (through the Golden State Theatre website).

If you email me I can send you more info.

We, the Mompean family, all live in Stockton and have a hard time encouraging our network of people to get to Monterey on the even of the Monterey Jazz Festival on a weeknight, but I am sure if more people in the bay area knew about it, they could get there!!! For both Keaggy, and subsequently for our son.

Here are some web addresses to show the validity of the event:

Thank you so much for hearing me out. And God Bless your family as I read that you are all working diligently at embracing change. God will guide you – but then again, you know that :)

    Sincerely,
    Heather Mompean
